REFLEXOLOGY

How it works
Reflexology works on the basis that there are pressure points on the feet and hands which correspond to the various different parts and organs of the body. Gentle pressure is applied to the feet and hands to bring about a state of deep relaxation and stimulate the body's own healing processes.

Conditions Helped
Reflexology can be very helpful in the treatment of stress, insomnia, respiratory, digestive or circulatory problems, pain relief and a great many other conditions. I particularly specialise in the treatment of infertility, pregnancy, labour, post-natal and hormonal disorders.

A Typical Session
I will take a case history and then you lie back on my incredibly comfortable couch. I dim the lights, put on some relaxing music and burn some lavender oil (if that is what you like) and start the pressure point foot massage. The treatment is incredibly relaxing, in fact people often fall asleep. Occasionally you may experience some sensitivity on localised points of the feet, this is an indication of an imbalance in the corresponding part of your body.

Some people are sensitive about their feet, in which case I am also qualified in Hand Reflexology. Hand Reflexology is particularly effective for the treatment of stress, as the hands are closer to the Central Nervous System and for disorders such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

A treatment usually lasts about an hour, although the first one can be slightly longer (for no extra charge), in order to get a detailed case history. One treatment costs £45, or if you book a course of 6 treatments, you can have 6 for the price of 5 (£225).
